Austin Selz, a Chicago shoe manufacturer

Will Keith Kellogg, founder of the Kellogg Cereal Company owns home and gave the house to his foundation in 1935

Kellogg Foundation leases the mansion and property to the U.S. Marine Corps Amphibian Tractor (Alligator) Unit
